Spinal Decompression Mission Viejo, CA

Spinal Decompression

Spinal decompression is a non-invasive mechanical procedure performed within our office to help alleviate back pain. It involves gently stretching the spine to take pressure off the spinal discs (the cushions that separate the vertebrae in the spine). By relieving this pressure, bulging discs can retract back into place which takes pressure off the nerves in the spine. By decompressing the spine, it permits water, oxygen and other fluids to work their way back into the discs allowing them to heal naturally. Spinal decompression is an excellent option for anyone with chronic back pain who wants to get back to living a pain-free life as quickly as possible.

Supartz

Knee pain is a debilitating condition that can deteriorate the protective fluid surrounding the knee joints. This can lead to more serious conditions including osteoarthritis. Increased activity levels can continue to reduce the joints’ protective cartilage and fluid, and osteoarthritis only speeds up the degeneration that occurs naturally over time.

Symptoms stemming from knee pain or osteoarthritis include:

  • Aching
  • Chronic Pain
  • Stiffness
  • Muscle weakness
  • Inflammation
  • Reduced mobility

While surgery is generally an option for people experiencing debilitating knee pain or osteoarthritis, many people prefer treatments other than surgery for the following reasons:

  • Surgery leads to a long rehabilitation time
  • Surgery is not guaranteed to fix the issue permanently
  • Out-of-pocket cost
  • Risks involved with surgery

For patients not wanting to take part in knee surgery, Gateway Rehab offers a non-surgical treatment option that can eliminate knee pain. This treatment is called Supartz Joint Therapy. This treatment injects the protective fluids into the joint or bone and helps to alleviate the painful symptoms and return normal functionality.

About Supartz Knee Therapy

The Supartz Knee Therapy is a safe alternative to knee surgery. The injections contain a fluid that is naturally occurring in the protective fluid of the joints and bones—purified sodium hyaluronate. Supartz injections have been the turning point in overcoming knee pain for many people, helping them to get back to a healthy lifestyle!

Class IV Cold Laser

Cold laser therapy is a treatment that utilizes specific wavelengths of light to interact with tissue and help accelerate your healing process. Cold laser treatment can be used on people suffering from acute and chronic conditions in order to eliminate pain and swelling, increase functionality, and reduce spasms.

Our friendly and educated providers will hold the cold laser and place it directly on the injured area for a few minutes. At this time, the non-thermal photons of lights will be emitted from the laser and pass through the skin layers. The light has the ability to penetrate two to five centimeters below the skin at 90 mw and 830 nm.

When the light energy passes through your skin and reaches the injured area, the energy is absorbed and interacts with the light-sensitive elements in your cells. When cells absorb this light energy, it will assist with normalizing damaged or injured tissue, reducing pain, inflammation, edema, and overall healing time.

Our entire staff wants to assist you in getting to the root of your problem as quickly as possible. We understand the many benefits of cold laser therapy and will always go above and beyond for you. If you ever have any questions before, during, or after your therapy, we are always willing to answer them. We want you to feel completely comfortable throughout the entire process.

We utilize a laser by MLS cutting edge, MIX 5.

If you have any questions regarding cold laser therapy, contact us today at (949) 454-8811.
